Waterworks

Increasing demand for bigger and more efficient capacity waste water treatment facilities, with stricter controls on effluent discharges, means that increasing investment is being made in sewage treatment assets. Construction of new or upgraded water treatment works often involves excavation below natural groundwater level. Sewage treatment works are typically located near rivers, where there are shallow aquifers and relatively high water tables, so dewatering is often required when new tanks, manhole pumping stations and pipeline connections are built. Project Dewatering Limited has many years of experience in providing dewatering solutions for such sites.

A brief overview of the dewatering procedures undertaken during our work on Preston WwTW can be found on our Projects page.
