Slope Stabilisation

Dewatering is needed to stabilise slopes, embankments and cuttings, where weak or failed soil, excessive pore water pressures, overly-steep slope angles or excessive external loadings impede or hinder construction. Stabilisation can be achieved through consolidation, drainage, reinforcement and treatment of soil mass. Project Dewatering Limited can design and install arrays of borehole drains or active pumping wells to provide both temporary and permanent slope stabilisation. Examples include schemes used to protect private property and land by slowing or stopping further erosion of cliff faces where groundwater would normally exit at the base of the cliff, causing failures, such as in the case of the Ashcroft Coast Holiday Park in Kent.
